What is Epass?
EPASS is generally known as Electronic Payment And Application System Of Scholarships. It is basically a Flagship scheme for meritorious students. Many universities yearly comes up with several scholarship plans to financially help the students.
This EPASS scheme is available in many states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and etc. The Epass scheme is mainly offered for RTF and MTF, under this scheme the government will offers the post matric scholarship for all the merit students. Guys who are studying post matric courses from ITI to PH.D from any government recognised institutes, they are eligible for this epass scheme.
Coming to detailed eligibility norms, students who belongs to category SC/ST and whose parents income is not more than Rs.2 lakh per annum. And those who are from BC, EBC,disabled welfare students and their parents annual salary is below Rs.1 lakh are eligible for this epass scheme. With all the above qualification, student must have 75% attendance at the end of their quarter.
Other than SC,ST, BC, EBC and disabled, no student will not allowed to enrolled for this scheme. And students who have joined through management quota and sponsored seats are not applicable for epass. The epass scholarship scheme is only approved for post matric courses from any concerned institute.
The list of post matric colleges are available on the respective states official pages. And students who draws their stipend more than scholarship amount in aggregate per year are also not suitable for scheme.
Students who receive their scholarship for the 1st year, they only eligible for next year with minimum aggregate marks in 1st year. Generally, the Epass scholarship scheme has two different components, which are RTF and MTF.
RTF means reimbursement of tuition fee, it is generally a non refundable fee, which pays at colleges under the name of students. Whereas MTF means, maintenance charges or mess charges, this MTF is sanctioned every month as per rates on particular post matric courses.
Every year, each state will provide epass amount about Rs.4500 crore per year for approximately 30 lakhs of students. So, finally those who wants to apply for epass scheme they have to please go through the official web sites to know more details.
While applying to epass, every students are obligatory to provide the original documents of educational, id proofs. And students please don’t forgot to give your bank account number with IFSC code. Once the government sanction your epass for post matric studies, the money will be directly transferred to your account.
Students those who already have epass scholarship, they must have to renewal their epass. To renewal, you need to simply provide few documents for verification purpose.
